Hello, good day, and how are you?
I haven’t written a Little Loves post for quite a few weeks now. I have been trying to make videos for it each week, but sometimes that’s hard to do. I’ve decided to do a combination of writing and blog posts from now on, that way I can keep up with joining in every week.
I have started to really enjoy making videos, but the difficulty is that we seem to be in darkness for 90% of the day (not great for filming) and the sound on my camera is a bit pants. Sometimes, I feel like my voice sounds a little like a robot and there’s a really annoying hiss sound in the background. So overall, the result can turn out a bit rubbish from time to time. I guess it’s a case of trial and error. I will hopefully pop a video version of this week’s Little Loves at the bottom of this post, but that will depend on day time deciding to arrive today (it’s nearly 10am and still dark out).
I have had a couple of weeks of feeling really stressed out, not unusual for me, if the truth be told. Though I find it more annoying at this time of year. It’s meant to be that time where everyone feels happy and full of joy, yada yada … but if I’m honest, I haven’t been feeling it. I do think how you feel has a lot to do with mind over matter (despite having dedicated a whole blog post to how it doesn’t in the past), so I am trying my best to put my cheery head on.
Anyways enough maudlin, on with this week’s little loves …
If you have followed my blog for any length of time now, you will know that this is a very lacklustre category for me. In light of this, I am going to do my usual trick of contorting the meaning of read. This week, I have been reading websites … doing my Christmas shopping. Yes, that’s right, I have finally started. In fact, I started and almost finished it yesterday. I have to say that getting things sorted has done wonders for lifting my mood!
The more I go on about my mood, the more I realise I sound like the least festive person in the world. I do love Christmas, HONEST!!
Chris and I have been watching Rillington Place this week. It is about a serial killer from the 1940’s it’s really well made and creepy. Love it!
I am still completely and utterly obsessed with Honeyblood, I listen to it all the time.
It also seems appropriate to mention that were going to Birmingham to watch The Super Furry Animals on Saturday night. I am really looking forward to a night relaxing with friends and having a few drinks. Fun times ahead. I apologise in advance if my Instagram stories make no sense later on in the night.
I have been making a shed load of healthy food. At the moment, I am trying really hard to eat a healthy and balanced diet, because I keep feeling tired and run down. Also, my hair keeps falling out, which is driving me nuts. When I say I am trying to eat a balanced diet, I don’t mean cutting out all the fun stuff either, that’s just boring and unsustainable. What I mean is making sure I get all of the good stuff, but if I fancy a piece of cake, I will have that too.
You would have thought I’d have taken some photos of all the good stuff, but nope. You will find some of my soup recipes over on my food blog though, including a butternut squash soup. I have seriously neglected this blog since I started it, but getting stuck into working this is very high on my new year’s to do list. I’m not giving up!
I have slipped into the danger zone of dressing purely for comfort. This can only spell disaster for my wardrobe and appearance. All items of clothing have been selected on the basis of warmth and comfort this week.
Basically if it’s baggy or warm, I’ve been wearing it. Shame I can’t wear the above filter in real life, as I am rather a fan of the tan.
And Lastly …
If you haven’t already had enough of me banging on, then you can catch more of what I’ve been wearing and doing this week. I even do a cheeky little try on. You poor sods, being subjected to that …
