What to Wear This Valentines Day

What to Wear This Valentines Day

It seems this will be the week where I talk Valentines non-stop. As Valentines is a day for lovers, I could choose worse topics to talk about and at least an air of romance might bring some sunshine to the grey days we’ve been having.

There’s something about Valentines that brings out the girly side in how we dress and I say that as a fully fledged tom boy when it comes to style. I do own a lot of dresses, but more often than not, you’ll find me wearing jeans and a blouse or jumper, usually with flat boots or trainers. For Valentines day, I think it could be quite nice to experiment with florals, dresses and frills. Maybe even a statement sleeve, seeing as we all seem to be going a bit mad for them these days!

Whether you’re planning to spend Valentines aka palentines with friends or you have a date night with someone special planned, here are a few outfit ideas to give you some romantic wardrobe inspiration.

Romantic Florals

Style: Romantic florals for valentines day

I love this look, especially where delicate floral prints are teamed with chunky knits and tough boots. This styling gives girly florals a tough edge.

Get Your Frills Here

Style: Romantic valentines frills and ruffles

Frills and ruffles are big news right now, especially when it comes to sleeves. The bigger and flouncier, the better.

Pleat it

Style: Romantic valentines frills and ruffles

2017 is all about the details and pleats are a detail that is still going strong. I am loving the pink and navy blue combination in the first image. Sign me up for the pleat trend please!

I love it all..! So pretty and feminine and yet really classy. Not sure what we are doing on the night itself but we will probably have a nice meal and glass of wine! Jess xx

I think it will be the same here for us. It’s hardly the easiest night of the year to get a babysitter, so we will definitely be at home! x x x

I’m loving floral print at the moment, it’s so pretty. I just don’t seem to be able to pull off pleats, I keep trying but they just don’t suit me! xx

I love pleats on sleeves, tops and things like that and I absolutely love pleated skirts on other people, but they are not kind on my hips!! I think you need to be skinnier than I am to pull a pleated skirt off x x x

This is just gorgeous babes. I love all of these. Wish I could pull off the pleated skirt. Might have to give it a try. Love the look of a big sweater with it. So trendy perfect for Vday. Great outfit finds here babes.

Aaah I LOVE the floral dress/boot combo. I used to wear that in 6th form!!! Pretty floral frocks with doc martens — my fave combination!!!! So nice to see it’s coming back! Not for VDay though — we don’t celebrate it!! I’d wear this EVERY day!! 🙂 xx
