Home Etc #92

Interiors inspiration - my bedroom office

Hello again.

It’s my second week hosting the Home Etc link up and true to form, I find myself cutting it fine on a Tuesday evening, as I sit writing this post ready for the morning. Some things will never change.

I am hosting this week’s link up with Caro and her bad knee. That’s some souvenir you brought home with you Caro! When I wrote last fortnight that you were enjoying a break on the ski slopes, I had no idea how literal that would turn out to be. Sending healing vibes your way and if they fail to reach you, there’s always gin.

If you’re not familiar with the Home Etc link-up, it is a place to share your home and garden themed posts each week. You are welcome to link up with posts on everything from up-cycling, to room tours, renovations and more!

I love seeing what you have been doing with your homes, though I should add that you are probably at least partly to blame for some of the pain my husband endures through living with me. Chris and I finished painting our dining room over the weekend, but I think I may have already grown tired of the colour and constantly reading up on interiors stuff can only make my desire for change worse. So really, you lot are pretty much entirely to blame for my annoying desire to constantly update our home.

At least that’s the story I’ll be telling Chris.

Anyway, I feel like I am beginning to waffle, so I will move on to our favourite posts from last week:

Extraordinary Chaos – Gold is the New Black

Interior decor inspiration - gold touches

In this post, Sarah talks about discovering a love of gold finishes in the home. I love the little occasional table photographed above, it’s something that I would certainly pick out to have in my own front room.

Three Sons Later – Lionsden Georgian Country House

Lionsden Georgian Country House

Another favourite this week was, Fionnuala’s post about Lionsden Georgian country house. I am a huge fan of Georgian period buildings, in fact I’d probably go as far as to say they are my favourite, so I can easily see the appeal to staying somewhere like this.
Now, back to this week!

HOW TO LINK UP…

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up, plus a couple of others.

Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet us @noahandgirls or @JessSoothill with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and we will always retweet. We will pick 2 favourite posts each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner.

This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor Laura Ashley. Don’t forget to keep using the #HomeEtc hashtag on Instagram too! We just love to see your Instagram photographs.

The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to link up!

Next week the link up will be hosted by Jess, from Mummy of Boy Girl Twins and Lins, from Boo and Maddie.
