Home Etc #96

Home Etc #96

This week has been spent stalking Rightmove, whilst daydreaming about moving house. We’ve been in our home for 5 years now and have poured plenty of cash, blood, sweat and tears into it over that time. You would think that this would make me love it more, but this hasn’t been the case. I have itchy feet and feel ready for a change.

The likely reality is that we wont be able to move for at least another year, but that does mean that the major eye sore of the house (aka the kitchen) has moved up the list of priorities.

We have avoided tackling this for so long purely for financial reasons. It is a humongous job. We need to take down walls, remove a chimney breast, put in new windows and doors, put in a door through to our utility, move plumbing, including the mains water. Oh, and it means we also need to finish rewiring the house. Like I said, it’s a big job. I’m not quite sure where we’ll find the money to do it, but it has got the the point where I can’t stand not to find it from somewhere.

It is, however, quite exciting to think that there’s hope that one day soon we may be shopping for kitchen units and appliances! Every cloud.

Anyway, I digress.

Today’s post is all about Home Etc, where bloggers can come to link up with their interior, garden and craft content. I am here hosting with Caro again this week and we’re looking forward to seeing what you will link up with.

Here are the two favourite posts from last week:

Life at 139a – Inside the Potting Shed at Monttisfont

This week, Stephanie took us on a tour of what surely must be the most beautifully styled shed to have ever existed.

Mafling0 – White Stuff, Nottingham

White Stuff Nottingham Changing Rooms

This week, Jane took us on a tour of the uber cool White Stuff store in Nottingham. How cool are these changing rooms?

Congratulations to you both, you nowhere a chance to win this month’s voucher from our wonderful sponsor, Laura Ashley.

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up, plus a couple of others.

Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet us @noahandgirls or @twinklediaries with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and we will always retweet. We will pick 2 favourite posts each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner.

This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor Laura Ashley. Don’t forget to keep using the #HomeEtc hashtag on Instagram too! We just love to see your Instagram photographs.

The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to link up!

Next week the link up will be hosted by Jess, from Mummy of Boy Girl Twins and Lins, from Boo and Maddie.
